A Day at the Airport
Mrs. Feimster and her 27 Wise Guys students went to the Vidalia City Airport. These 27 students rode in a caravan to this marvelous place. When they got there, they met the airport manager, Kevin Britton, who took them on a tour to see several different airplanes. But first they had a quick lesson on the aerodynamics of science. When they got out to the airplanes, their eyes opened wide and everyone wanted to scream with joy!
Mr. Britton showed us his nice jet airplane. The students found the plane in a hanger and entered the plane where they were allowed to sit and look at the controls. They sat down and buckled up (for no reason) and acted like they were flying.
Everybody got out and looked at the flaps work, where the gas and luggage was stored, and funny little covers that kept insects out of the engines.
Finally, we got maps of Vidalia and Lyons, got back in the cars, and arrived safe and sound at Sally D. Meadows. It was a fun educational trip.
