A Message from the Department of Education
The Georgia Department of Education has launched a program, READ GA, to help prevent the "summer slide" in reading achievement and comprehension. Their research has shown that children who read only six books during the summer are likely to maintain their level of reading and be better prepared when school begins in the fall. The GaDOE has provided many resources for parents based on the Lexile measures to ensure appropriate leveled books are being selected. Parents will find their child's Lexile score on their CRCT results. Please use the following links below to gain more information about READ GA.
