Our Scholastic Book Fair is scheduled for Wednesday, February 29th through Friday, March 2nd, in the Media Center at Sally Meadows Elementary. We invite all Meadows and Dickerson families, as well as other community members, to our school to share in this celebration of books and reading. Since Dickerson is not hosting a spring book fair, please come enjoy ours! This is a great way to raise funds for essential library resources, and it encourages the love of reading among our students. Click on the icon below for an online preview.

A special "Family Night at the Fair" will be held Tuesday, February 28th, from 5:00 - 7:00 p.m. This will be the FIRST opportunity for Book Fair purchases. Come browse and find books that can help your child stay connected with reading. Also, the SDM Relay for Life team will be holding a silent auction with theme baskets donated by grade levels and staff. Come place a bid and help our SDM team raise funds for the American Cancer Society.

Beginning February 29th, the Book Fair will be open for students to attend during their language arts class. Parents may accompany their child to the Book Fair before school begins (7:30-7:50 a.m.) or after school ends (2:45-3:00 p.m.). Please refrain from pulling your child out of class during the school day to attend the fair as students are diligently preparing for the CRCT. The last day to make purchases from the Book Fair will be Friday, March 2nd.

Our Book Fair provides a wide variety of books specifically selected to appeal to elementary school interests. Students will discover books that are entertaining and inspirational. Come celebrate reading at the Book Fair!
